How accurate is the food scanning?

Numi's AI is highly accurate for common dishes, packaged foods, and restaurant meals. For mixed or heavily obscured dishes, accuracy improves when you take the photo in good lighting and include the full portion. All nutrition values are estimates and should not replace advice from a registered dietitian or physician.

What iPhone models are supported?

Numi works on any iPhone running iOS 16.0 or later. For the best camera performance, we recommend iPhone 12 or newer. Features that use on-device AI (like real-time scanning) perform best on iPhone 15 Pro and later due to the Neural Engine hardware.

Is my food data private?

Yes. Food photos are processed to produce nutrition results and are not retained after analysis. Your nutrition logs are stored securely and are never sold to third parties. Read our full Privacy Policy for details.

How do I join the beta?

Sign up on our beta access form. Once accepted, you'll receive an email with a TestFlight invitation link. Open it on your iPhone, install the TestFlight app if you haven't already, and accept the invite to get started.

How do I install Numi via TestFlight?

  1. Check your email for an invitation from Apple / Numi via TestFlight.
  2. Tap the invitation link on your iPhone. If prompted, install the TestFlight app from the App Store (it's free).
  3. Open the TestFlight link again. Tap Accept and then Install.
  4. Numi will appear on your Home Screen. Open it and enjoy the beta.

How do I report a bug during the beta?

You can report bugs in two ways:

The app crashed. What should I do?

First, try force-quitting and reopening Numi. If the crash repeats, please report it via TestFlight (it will automatically capture crash logs) or email us. Include what you were doing when it crashed and your iPhone model.

How do I delete my account and data?

In the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This will permanently delete your profile, nutrition history, and all associated data. Alternatively, email hello@getnumi.app and we'll process the deletion within 30 days.

Can I use Numi outside the beta?

The TestFlight beta build expires 90 days after installation. We'll notify you about the public App Store launch. Beta testers will be given priority access and, where possible, early pricing for the official release.

I didn't receive my TestFlight invite. What now?

Check your spam or junk folder for an email from noreply@email.apple.com. If it's not there after 48 hours, email us at hello@getnumi.app with the email address you used to sign up and we'll resend it manually.

Numi is currently in closed beta testing via Apple TestFlight. Beta builds are development versions — you may encounter bugs, incomplete features, and rough edges. Your feedback is essential to making Numi great before the public launch.
